Advisory Services for Climate, Forestry, and Land-Use Investment Readiness

Institutional support across the full lifecycle of climate, land-use, and forestry investment.

TerraBridge advisors conducting ESG due diligence and financial structuring review

TerraBridge delivers advisory services designed around how development finance institutions and institutional impact capital actually assess, approve, and deploy investment, not around what advisory documentation conventionally looks like. All engagements draw on the same institutional logic, safeguards discipline, and delivery rigour, applied proportionately to the mandate at hand.

Whether the need is a full investment readiness programme, targeted ESG structuring, or specific safeguards support, the starting point is always an honest assessment of where the initiative stands and what will genuinely move it forward.

How We Support Institutional Engagement

Financial & Institutional Structuring

We support financial and institutional structuring across pre- and post-investment contexts, including capital structures, governance arrangements, and documentation aligned with institutional risk appetites and fiduciary requirements.

Engagements include financial restructuring for DFI pre-qualification, investment committee preparation, fund governance design, and lender documentation. Our structuring draws directly on experience conducting due diligence inside European development finance institutions.

ESG Due Diligence & Safeguard Systems

We conduct rigorous ESG due diligence for projects and funds operating in complex land-use, forestry, and agricultural contexts. Our assessments combine advanced GIS and spatial analysis with structured documentation review, field verification, and stakeholder engagement.

Particular emphasis is placed on biodiversity and habitat assessment, including IFC PS6 (critical habitats, mitigation hierarchy, ecosystem services) and PS7 (indigenous peoples, FPIC requirements). EUDR compliance, supply-chain safeguards, and cumulative impact assessment are also covered.

Stakeholder, Land & External Risk Advisory

We support initiatives in navigating stakeholder dynamics, land tenure challenges, and reputational exposure in complex land-use and forestry contexts — drawing on direct field experience across Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia.

This includes structured engagement strategies, grievance mechanisms, Indigenous Peoples’ processes, and communication frameworks designed to ensure that stakeholder engagement and operational decision-making remain coherent and institutionally defensible.

BRIDGE or Targeted Mandate — How We Decide

Not every initiative requires the full BRIDGE Program. TerraBridge applies it selectively, only where material investment readiness gaps exist across financial viability, governance, ESG safeguards, or delivery systems, and where structured support will meaningfully improve conditions for institutional capital engagement.

Where an initiative is already institutionally aligned, where financing has been secured, or where a specific requirement needs to be addressed, TerraBridge provides targeted advisory mandates. These draw on the same institutional logic and safeguards discipline as BRIDGE, applied directly and without unnecessary process.

The starting point is always an honest assessment of where the initiative stands. If BRIDGE is not the right fit, we will say so — and identify the most direct path to engagement instead.”

Our Approach to Every Engagement

TerraBridge advisors conducting ESG due diligence and financial structuring review

By working across structured programmes and targeted mandates, TerraBridge supports institutional engagement without over-engineering or duplication. Our role is not to replace internal teams or institutional processes — but to strengthen alignment and decision-relevance where complexity, safeguards requirements, or external risk would otherwise delay or undermine outcomes. Every engagement is designed to produce work that is institutionally legible, defensible at investment committee level, and grounded in the operational realities of the context.

Every Engagement Is Built to Withstand Institutional Scrutiny.

TerraBridge works with project sponsors, funds, and institutions at different stages of investment readiness — delivering advisory that is proportionate, integrated, and grounded in how development finance actually operates. Whether you need full BRIDGE Program support or a targeted mandate, the starting point is a conversation.
